China completed a comprehensive testing of its largest solid-propellant carrier rocket to verify its liftoff weight bearing capacity on Saturday.
The ground support system test for the ZK-1A solid-propellant carrier rocket, dubbed "Lijian One", was carried out at a base in the coastal city of Yantai in east China's Shandong Province.
The test simulated the whole process of loading, transportation, docking and vertical launching of the rocket.
The rocket is mainly used to launch one or multiple satellites to Sun-synchronous orbits or low-Earth orbits in one single launch mission.
The ZK-1A is expected to undertake its maiden launch next March, carrying six satellites in one mission.
