Storyline


Chinese sprinter Su Bingtian, Asia's fastest man, on Monday delivered a lecture in Shanghai to inspire the high school students with his athletic spirits and personal experience.

The presence of Su, who has just set a new Asian record in Tokyo and became the first Chinese athlete to qualify for the men's 100-meter sprint final at an Olympics, aroused deafening cheers at the lecture hall of the Affiliated High School of South China Normal University.

During the lecture titiled "there is no 100m limit for the yellow race", Su shared his personal experience with the students and denounced the "racial limit" of yellow runners originated from pseudosciences.

"Ten years ago, if you say a yellow sprinter can break the 10-second barrier, many experts will refer to genetic theories and human anatomy to tell you how difficult that is. But now, if you say yellow sprinters might someday break the record of Bolt, no one will rise and refute you without any hesitation. After the lecture, Su gave the school's track and field team detailed instructions and showed them 100m race skills through demonstrations on the sports ground.
