A six-storey parliament building, constructed by China's Shanghai Construction Group, is nearing completion in Zimbabwe, which is set to replace the 100-seat structure used by lawmakers of the country.
The new parliament building in Zimbabwe has a capacity of 650 seats. And on top of this, it will have extra conferencing facilities and larger spaces for offices and parking.
The structure is part of a larger infrastructure project that includes the construction of a new city in Mount Hampden, on the outskirts of the capital Harare City.
The project has been run through local partnerships, which has also enabled local workers to benefit from the knowledge and skills transfer.
