3. SOUNDBITE (Chinese) Wang Wenbin, spokesman, Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
"Japan launched a war of aggression against China and colonized Taiwan for half a century, committing unspeakable crimes and shouldering serious historical responsibility to the Chinese people. Taiwan was returned back to China when Japan was defeated in World War II. However, some forces in Japan are not reconciled to their defeat and are still coveting Taiwan. Instead of facing up to and reflecting on the deep-rooted historical misdeeds of militarism, wild aggression and expansion, and brutal colonial enslavement in modern times, they have attempted to seek military breakthroughs by hyping up the situation in their neighbors."

5. SOUNDBITE (Chinese) Wang Wenbin, spokesman, Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
"Recently, the Japanese politicians have been frequently making absurd statements concerning Taiwan, and even dared wild talk that runs counter to Japan's Three Non-Nuclear Principles and its obligations as a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). Their conversation of 'nuclear sharing' with the United States has fully exposed the dangerous trend of its domestic militarism."

7. SOUNDBITE (Chinese) Wang Wenbin, spokesman, Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
"The Taiwan issue falls within China's internal affairs, rather than Japan's. We strongly urge the Japanese side to deeply reflect on history, earnestly abide by the principles of the four political documents between China and Japan and its commitment so far, be cautious in words and deeds on the Taiwan issue and stop provoking troubles."
