Storyline


A new film called "Ordinary Hero", which depicts the heroic actions of ordinary people, will be released nationwide from Tuesday after it premiered on Monday in Urumqi City of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, where the real-life events that inspired the film took place.

"Ordinary Hero" tells the story of how ordinary people from various ethnic groups and different walks of life came together to save a six-year-old boy who lost part of his arm in an accident that left him with life-threatening injuries requiring urgent medical attention.

The film follows his remarkable 1,400-kilometer journey to safety with the help of ordinary heroes who ensured he received treatment within eight hours of the accident.

"This almost impossible rescue mission was finally completed successfully under the relay escort of ordinary heroes in many ordinary positions. Heroes are born when people admire heroes. And heroes will come forth in large numbers when everyone strives to be a hero. This movie is dedicated to every ordinary hero. Thanks for guarding our lives," Yu Dong, chairman of Bona Film Group, said at the ceremony.

The film, directed by Chen Guohui, stars Li Bingbing, Feng Shaofeng, Perlman Parehatti, Erfan Aizezi, Huang Xiaoming, and Lin Yongjian who play characters who go all out to save the little boy in trouble.
