The 18th China International Cartoon and Animation Festival (CICAF) has adopted a series of advanced digital technologies to serve as a comprehensive and effective service platform for numerous animation, cartoon and game fans, as well as professionals at home and abroad, showcasing the charms of Chinese cultural heritage.

The annual event in Hangzhou City of east China's Zhejiang Province runs from November 24 to 27, showcasing a wide array of digital and physical activities, such as an expo, awards ceremony, exhibitions, promotions, electric music concerts, as well as cosplay and fashion shows.

This year's CICAF features both online and in-person events. The four-day festival also holds high-level forums attended by industrial leaders as well as fan celebrations of their favorite animation works.

Another highlight is the Golden Monkey King Awards - China's top animation honor. This year, 91 shortlisted entries selected from 993 original animation works from 19 countries and regions, vied for the glittery monkey king trophies.

Taking the occasion of the CICAF, Hangzhou will strive for the goals of building an "international animation city", and "e-sports city" among the others, so as to comprehensively promote the high-quality development of animation game industry and e-sports industry.

A large number of animation works have been released during the event, with "Xiajiang Village's Dream on Pursuing Common Prosperity" as the representative work, telling the story of young people skillfully using ecological resources to overcome numerous difficulties, and finally achieve common prosperity.
