The Russian military forces have destroyed various weapons in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, while the Ukrainian side said that its troops engaged in heavy fighting against the enemy in multiple directions, according to official briefings on battlefield development released by the two countries on Sunday.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Russian forces fought with Ukrainian troops and mercenaries in Kupyansk and other directions, destroying Ukrainian military equipment including tanks, armored vehicles, a Czech-manufactured RM-70 Vampire multiple-launch rocket system, a U.S.-manufactured M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery system, an M777 artillery system, and anti-artillery radar, among other weapons.
On the same day, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) said there had been over 20 clashed between Ukrainian and Russian forces in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Mar'inka and other directions during the past 24 hours. And the Ukrainian air forces, missile and artillery units carried out strikes against Russia's manpower and hardware concentration areas, artillery positions and electronic warfare equipment.
Meanwhile, Alexander Bogomaz, governor of Russia's Bryansk region bordering Belarus, said on Sunday that the local Russian air defense system intercepted two Ukrainian missiles in the area.
So far, there has been no response to Bogomaz's claim from Ukraine.
