"As you can see, everything is collapsed. The remaining houses are uninhabitable. As you can see, the situation is catastrophic. My sister's building was next to mine. The six-story building is completely gone. Thank Allah. We also have martyrs. The building collapsed on them. Seven people of my uncle's family all died. Thank Allah. When the collapse happened, we went to check on everything and everyone. The situation was catastrophic. We saw things you cannot imagine. We saw things no one should ever witness."

"We were in school when we heard about the airstrike. We heard our house had been blown up. Allah is sufficient for us. This is the third airstrike on us. Every time they strike our buildings, we say, may Allah help us. What can we do? What can I say? May Allah give us back, and may we be compensated for all this destruction. No one wants destruction. We just want to live in peace. That's all we want."

"We were praying the Isha prayer (night prayer) together with the family when an airstrike hit around 19:30. A rocket was dropped on us, and it blew up the top floor in which we were on. My family was all praying at that time. Eleven people were killed. My mother, my father and my brother were killed. My uncles are all dead. Eleven people are dead. My sister and I were injured, and I got an injury in my leg. We were also injured in the Al Aqsa Hospital bombing. If I stayed there, they would've amputated my legs. But they found that the nerve in my leg was viable. So, they sent us here to the north to Al Awda Hospital. I have already undergone five surgeries."

Displaced Gazans recalled the horror moments of their homes being bombed as they returned to search for daily necessities amid the extended humanitarian truce between Israel and Hamas.
The first temporary humanitarian truce between Hamas and Israel entered into force in Gaza at 7 a.m. local time on Friday. A Qatari official said on Tuesday that a deal had been reached to extend a truce between Israel and Hamas for an additional two days, allowing for further exchanges of hostages and prisoners and for more humanitarian aid to enter Gaza.
In the wake of the extended truce, many displaced Gazans are making their way back home, hoping to find essential items for their daily lives. Although the sound of gunfire has stopped, many buildings there have been destroyed or damaged.
Local residents shared their tragic experiences with CGTN correspondent, showcasing their homes that were leveled by the bombings and voiced their desire for peace.
