Storyline

Exhibitors at the ongoing China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) in Beijing are tapping into the enormous potential of the platform to launch new products, pursue innovation and seek cooperation, as the world's first national-level supply chain-themed expo has attracted extensive participation of global companies.

With a total exhibition area of 100,000 square meters, the expo, being held in Beijing from Tuesday to Saturday, presents five sections of chains and supply chain services, including smart vehicle, green agriculture, clean energy, digital technology, and healthy life.

Over 500 Chinese and foreign enterprises and institutions participate in the expo to showcase their new technologies, products and services in the key sectors of each industrial chain.

Ranging from core raw materials, key components, motors, electronic controls, to automobiles and services, the section of smart vehicles displays the life cycle of the intelligent automotive industry.

The section of green agriculture showcases products and services across the entire supply chain. The expo also highlights joint exhibitions of Chinese and overseas enterprises.

U.S. tech giant Apple Inc. has displayed a limited range of Apple products at the expo. Instead, new products and technologies from its major suppliers such as Bozhong Precision, Lens Technology and Everwin Precision are being showcased at its booth.

Chinese-developed smart manufacturing equipment now accounts for about 75 percent of Apple Inc supply chains as Chinese suppliers are sharpening their technological edge and deepening ties with the U.S. tech heavyweight in smart manufacturing.

"Today we brought along several very representative suppliers of ours. In fact, among our top 200 suppliers around the world, 151 are manufacturers and producers in China, of which intelligent manufacturing is of course the most important. We have close cooperation with our supply chain," said Isabel Ge Mahe, Apple's vice-president and managing director of Apple Greater China.

Under the theme of "Connecting the World for a Shared Future," the expo aims to provide a new, high-end platform for enterprises to expand trade and investment cooperation, pool together innovation, and learn from each other.
