China has always been committed to promoting a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, said Ambassador of the Chinese Foreign Ministry Wang Kejian after visiting Egypt, Palestine, Israel, and Qatar in mid March.
In an exclusive interview with China Global Television Network (CGTN), Wang said that China has actively engaged in diplomatic efforts to facilitate dialogue, seek consensus, and de-escalate the conflict in Gaza.
"China has always been committed to promoting a ceasefire. I've visited Egypt, Palestine, Israel, and Qatar, focusing on in-depth exchanges with all parties on the conflict in Gaza and listening to their opinions and suggestions. The purpose of my visit is to help cool down the situation in Gaza as soon as possible and strive to gather more international consensus," said Wang.
