1. Various of press briefing in progress, reporters
2. SOUNDBITE (Chinese) Wang Wenbin, spokesman, Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
"China's exports of electric vehicles, lithium batteries, photovoltaic products and other products have increased in recent years, which is a result of international division of labor and market demand, and which is conducive to promoting green development in the world. It is clear to all whether or not it is indeed a question of 'overcapacity' which the U.S. is worried about. As for who is engaging in market manipulation, the facts are there. The United States has adopted a string of measures to suppress China's trade and technology development. This is not 'de-risking,' but creating risks. China's position on this is clear to all."

The United States would not be "de-risking" by suppressing China's trade and technology development, but creating risks instead, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Wednesday.
Wang Wenbin, the spokesman, made the statement in briefing news media on Tuesday's phone talks between the heads of state of China and the United States on bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest, describing the exchange as "candid and constructive".
Chinese President Xi Jinping has said to his U.S. counterpart that if the U.S. side is willing to seek mutually beneficial cooperation and share in China's development dividends, it will always find China's door open, but if it is adamant on containing China's hi-tech development and depriving China of its legitimate right to development, China is not going to sit back and watch.
Regarding China's position on its trade relations with the United States, the spokesman reiterated China's opposition to the so called "de-risking" measures.
