"We were more than 80 people when they arrested us. They put us in a truck, and beat us severely the whole way, which caused deep wounds on my legs. Two weeks after I entered the prison, severe infections occurred in my legs. I repeatedly asked the doctors in the prison to take me to the hospital, but they refused. Later, the infection became even more severe, and my wounds rotted, and gangrene spread in my knee. Then they took me to the hospital."

"As you can see, the condition of my hand has become difficult. This is due to the handcuffs that were placed throughout my time in prison. In addition to severe beatings on my body, I also received several blows on my head and on my hands."

The Palestinians who were just released by Israel provided an account of the horrors they have been through in the Israeli prison, saying that they were ill-treated both physically and mentally.

According to the General Authority for Crossings and Borders in Gaza, Israel on Monday released 150 Palestinians who were detained during the military operations in the Gaza Strip.

The authority said in a press statement that the Palestinians were released via the Kerem Shalom crossing in the southern Strip.

At hospitals in Rafah City in south Gaza, many released Palestinians complained about the abuse and ill-treatment they received in the Israeli jail.

These Palestinians said they were not allowed to access anything whatsoever while in prison. They were beaten constantly and were insulted by the Israeli army.

Many said they were not offered the needed medications. Detainees with chronic diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes were not allowed to access the medications.

Some of them even witnessed the death of other Palestinian detainees, with one of them saying that he was seeing another people dying right before his eyes.

Then they took me to the hospital," said a released Palestinian Sufyan Abu Salah, who lost his leg because of the wounds.

Another released Palestinian Fatrah Abu Amer said his hand was in a bad condition.

"As you can see, the condition of my hand has become difficult. This is due to the handcuffs that were placed throughout my time in prison. In addition to severe beatings on my body, I also received several blows on my head and on my hands," he said.

According to Palestinian human rights organizations, during the ongoing Israeli ground operation in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army has arrested hundreds of Palestinians and transferred them to undisclosed locations.

A total of 33,899 Palestinians had been killed from relentless Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7 last year, when a Hamas attack killed about 1,200 Israelis and took more than 200 others hostage.

"عندما أخذني الجيش الإسرائيلي الى المعتقل أصيبت يدي بهذا الشكل، كانت يدي مكبلة بالقيود، وفي داخل المعتقل تعرضنا للتعذيب والضرب الشديد على اليد وأيضا على الرأس، تعرضنا لعدة ضربات على الرأس، وهذه هي الإصابة في يدي نتيجة الضرب."

كشف فلسطينيون أفرجت عنهم إسرائيل للتو عن الفظائع التي تعرضوا لها في السجن الإسرائيلي، قائلين إنهم تعرضوا لسوء المعاملة جسديًا ونفسيًا.

وأعلنت الهيئة العامة للمعابر والحدود في غزة أن إسرائيل أفرجت يوم الاثنين عن 150 فلسطينيا اعتقلتهم خلال العمليات العسكرية في قطاع غزة.

وقالت الهيئة في بيان صحفي إنه تم إطلاق سراح الفلسطينيين عبر معبر كرم أبو سالم جنوب القطاع.

في مستشفيات مدينة رفح، اشتكى العديد من الفلسطينيين المفرج عنهم من سوء المعاملة الذي عانوا منه في السجن الإسرائيلي.

وقال هؤلاء الفلسطينيون إنه لم يُسمح لهم بالوصول إلى أي شيء على الإطلاق أثناء احتجازهم في السجن. وقد تعرضوا للضرب المستمر والإهانة من قبل الجيش الإسرائيلي.

وذكر الكثيرون إنهم لم يحصلوا على الأدوية اللازمة، ولم يُسمح للمحتجزين المصابين بأمراض مزمنة مثل ارتفاع ضغط الدم ومرض السكري بالحصول على الأدوية.

وحتى شهد بعضهم مقتل معتقلين آخرين.

وبحسب منظمات حقوق الإنسان في فلسطين، فقد قام الجيش الإسرائيلي، خلال العملية البرية المستمرة في قطاع غزة، باعتقال مئات الفلسطينيين ونقلهم إلى جهات مجهولة.
