1. Promo of international version of TV series "Classic Quotes by Xi Jinping"

China Media Group (CMG) -- the flagship broadcaster of China -- on Wednesday released a promo for the international version of "The Classic Quotes by Xi Jinping", a series of multilingual TV programs that features President Xi Jinping's quotes from ancient Chinese classics in his speeches and articles.

The promo was released prior to Xi's state visit to France, Serbia and Hungary from May 5 to 10.

The special program carefully selects ancient classics and classic quotations cited by Xi, who is also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, in his important speeches, articles and remarks.

By explaining the meaning and the historical backgrounds of the ancient Chinese stories and classics, the program demonstrates Xi's extensive cultural literacy and his profound commitment to the well-being of the people and the nation.

The program helps explain the unique characteristics and global values of the Chinese civilization, as well as the connotations of the new era. It also helps the global audience to better understand Chinese culture, wisdom and spirit.
