Russia claimed on Tuesday that its forces destroyed U.S.-made military equipment supplied to Ukraine on the battlefield, while Ukraine said that the frontline situation is under control over the past 24 hours, according to the latest battle reports issued by both sides.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that in the past 24 hours, its forces repelled multiple Ukrainian attacks in the directions of Kharkiv in the northeast, Avdiivka and Donetsk in the east, Zaporizhzhia in the southeast, and Kherson in the south of Ukraine, and launched several offensives. They destroyed four tanks and 13 armored vehicles, including four U.S.-made Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.
Also on Tuesday, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Ukrainian troops were engaged in 86 battles along the frontline in the past 24 hours.
The Ukrainian army repelled Russian attacks in the directions of Pokrovsk, Kharkiv, Seversk and Kramatorsk in eastern Ukraine. Fighting continued in the settlements of Volchansk and Staritsa, with the situation remaining under Ukrainian control.
In a related development, the Council of the European Union (EU) announced on Tuesday that ministers from EU member states have agreed to use proceeds from frozen assets of the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) to support Ukraine's military efforts.
Under the agreement, 90 percent of the profits from these assets will be allocated to the European Peace Facility, an EU-run fund providing military aid for Ukraine. The remaining 10 percent will bolster Ukraine's defense industry capacities and reconstruction needs.
