International businesses and investors are bullish on China as the country has demonstrated friendly policymaking, considerable long-term growth opportunities and huge market potential, according to some observers.
China's policies and measures to expand high-level opening-up have strengthened confidence of the investors in its market, they said.
"China's policymakers are becoming increasingly friendly toward foreign capital, and China is gaining growing attention from overseas long-term international capital and investors. Our Asia Pacific Summit in Singapore was attended by 2,700 international investors. They were highly interested in China. There were no empty seats in every discussion on topics about China," said Xing Ziqiang, chief economist of Morgan Stanley China.
Economist Rajiv Biswas said China remains a focus for international investors to seek long-term growth drivers due to its leading role in green energy technology.
"Notably, China has seen very rapid growth in high technology industries related to the global energy transition towards green energy, such as new energy vehicles and renewable power generation manufacturing. Therefore, China will remain at the forefront of global investors' focus when they are looking for long term growth opportunities for their portfolio asset allocation," he said.
As China is endeavoring to expand domestic demand and stimulate market vitality and consumption potential, some international businesses believe that it will bring new investment opportunities.
"Because of the scale of the development and getting into the second, third, fourth-tier cities, still tremendous room for expansion; tremendous consumption possibilities for China. The foreign companies, like U.S. companies, have had access to a big growing market. You can think of the retail kind of section--whether sectors like Starbucks, McDonald's, and KFC--because they've taken advantage of the growth in the Chinese market," said Manuel C. Menendez, founder and CEO of MCM Group Holdings.
