China's fiscal operation was generally stable in 2024 and is expected to achieve a balanced budget for the year, said China's finance ministry on Friday.
Liao Min, vice minister of finance, elaborated on China's fiscal operation in 2024 at a press briefing held in Beijing.
"Fiscal operation was generally stable in 2024, and the budget was well implemented. Overall, it is expected to achieve a balance between revenue and expenditure throughout the year," he said.
"The 2024 fiscal operation can be summed up from three aspects: first, the overall trend has turned positive; second, the target of a balanced budget can be achieved; third, strong guarantee for the key fields has further improved the structure of government expenditure," Liao said.
