The Russian military announced on Friday that its drones have launched attacks on several Ukrainian military targets in the past week, while Ukraine said its forces struck a Russian drone hanger in Russia's Rostov Oblast on Friday.

According to Russia's Ministry of Defense, from January 4 to 10, the Russian forces carried out 28 precision strikes using high-precision weapons and attack drones, destroying Ukrainian military airfield infrastructure, ammunition depots, attack drone assembly workshops and storage sites, as well as temporary deployment points for Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries.

Russian forces also gained control of three settlements, including Kurakhove.

Additionally, Russian air defense systems intercepted eight U.S.-made Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS) missiles and 41 HIMARS rockets, and shot down 689 drones and a MiG-29 fighter jet.

Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported 166 combat clashes as of Friday afternoon. It said that Ukrainian forces had successfully repelled 10 Russian offensives in Kursk.

According to a report by Ukrinform, Ukraine's national news agency, on Friday, the Ukrainian Security Service, in coordination with the Ukrainian Navy, launched a strike early that morning on a drone hangar in Russia's Rostov region, near the Ukrainian border. The targeted warehouse reportedly exploded due to the stored ammunition.

Ukrinform also reported that early on Friday, the Ukrainian forces launched drone strikes on industrial facilities in Russia's Rostov and Leningrad regions, causing fires at two industrial enterprises.
