"Although a ceasefire has been reached in Gaza, Israeli crimes and killings persist in the West Bank. As some reports have warned, Israel appears to be repeating its 'genocidal' actions in the West Bank, much like those in Gaza. The international community must not allow such behavior to become normalized."

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei on Monday called for international intervention to stop Israeli actions in Palestinian territories and expressed Iran's willingness to resume nuclear talks under favorable conditions.
Speaking at a weekly press conference in the capital Tehran, the spokesman condemned Israel's recent systematic destruction of infrastructure in several West Bank cities, accusing Israel of committing similar crimes against Palestinians in the West Bank as it did in Gaza.
Baghaei stressed that the international community must take serious action to halt these criminal activities.
"Although a ceasefire has been reached in Gaza, Israeli crimes and killings persist in the West Bank. As some reports have warned, Israel appears to be repeating its 'genocidal' actions in the West Bank, much like those in Gaza. The international community must not allow such behavior to become normalized," Baghaei said.
Israel launched its largest military operation in West Bank's Jenin in years on Jan. 21, calling it a "counterterrorism operation." At least 25 people have been killed by Israeli forces since the offensive began, according to Palestinian figures.
On the nuclear issue, Baghaei reiterated Iran's call for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to adhere to its professional mandate to ensure nuclear non-proliferation while refraining from engaging in political rhetoric.
He also emphasized that Iran is open to dialogue and negotiations with relevant parties under favorable conditions to lift Western sanctions and protect the country's national interests.
Iran signed the nuclear agreement, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, with world powers in July 2015, agreeing to limit its nuclear work in return for easing sanctions. The United States left the deal in May 2018 and put sanctions back in place, causing Tehran to reduce its own commitments.
Talks to bring the 2015 deal back to life began in Vienna in April 2021 but have made little progress despite many rounds of discussions.
