China's second homegrown large cruise ship, Adora Flora City, is edging closer to completion after successfully undergoing a dock floating test on Monday, according to China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC).

The floating test was carried out at the shipyard of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., the cruise ship's manufacturer. It included a series of inspections to evaluate critical technologies and technical specifications.

"The entire floating process of the cruise ship proceeded smoothly, with all indicators falling within our expected range. The structural assembly, including the installation of pipelines and cables, is nearly complete. We will move to the next phase, which involves system commissioning and interior decoration," said Chen Gang, chief designer of the homegrown cruise ship.

According to the project schedule, the cruise ship is expected to undergo sea trial in May 2026 and be delivered by the end of the same year. Before its delivery, it will undergo approximately 108,000 inspections.

"Our task is to ensure that the ship is constructed in accordance with the design, and that the construction progress is in line with the owner's requirements," said Niu Zhichun, deputy general manager of the supervision team for the cruise ship.

The deadweight tonnage of Adora Flora City is 141,900 tons, 6,400 tons more than that of Adora Magic City. Its total length has increased by 17.4 meters, reaching 341 meters, and the number of cabins has risen by 19 to a total of 2,144.

The ship can accommodate 5,232 passengers when fully loaded and features a 16-story upper structure, equipped with more entertainment facilities.

El segundo gran crucero de fabricación nacional de China, Adora Flora City, está cada vez más cerca de su finalización después de completar con éxito una prueba de flotación en muelle el lunes, según la Corporación Estatal de Construcción Naval de China (CSSC).

La prueba de flotación se llevó a cabo en el astillero de Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., fabricante del crucero, e incluyó una serie de inspecciones para evaluar tecnologías críticas y especificaciones técnicas.

"Todo el proceso de flotación del crucero transcurrió sin problemas, con todos los indicadores dentro de lo esperado. El montaje estructural, incluyendo la instalación de tuberías y cables, está prácticamente terminado. Pasaremos a la siguiente fase, que incluye la puesta en servicio de los sistemas y la decoración interior", señaló Chen Gang, diseñador jefe del crucero de fabricación nacional.

Según el programa del proyecto, se espera que el crucero se someta a pruebas de mar en mayo de 2026 y se entregue a finales de ese mismo año. Antes de su entrega, tendrá que pasar aproximadamente 108.000 inspecciones.

El tonelaje de peso muerto del Adora Flora City es de 141.900 toneladas, 6.400 toneladas más que el del Adora Magic City, el primer gran crucero de construcción nacional de China. Su eslora total ha aumentado en 17,4 metros, alcanzando los 341 metros, y el número de cabinas se ha incrementado en 19, hasta un total de 2.144.

El crucero podrá acomodar a 5.232 pasajeros en su máxima capacidad y cuenta con una estructura superior de 16 pisos, equipada con más instalaciones de entretenimiento.

　2隻目の中国国産大型豪華クルーズ船となる「愛達・花城号」（アドラ・フローラシティー）が28日、ドック内での浮上をクリアした。クルーズ船の建造作業はこれで70%以上が完了し、内装とシステムの完成・調整段階に入った。

　中国船舶集団（CSSC）傘下の上海外高橋造船（SWS）のフローティングドックで28日未明、「水門を開けて放水」という作業員の号令とともに、海水がドック内に流れ込んだ。6時間に及ぶドック内への注水とリアルタイムの観測の結果、クルーズ船はゆっくりと浮き上がった。

　計画では「アドラ・フローラシティー」は2026年5月に海上公試（船舶建造の最終段階で行う性能試験）を行い、2026年末に引き渡される予定だ。引き渡し前には、合計10万8000件に及ぶ全船検査をクリアしなければならない。
