China is willing to join hands with Latin American and Caribbean countries to launch five projects to build a China-LAC community with a shared future, Chinese President Xi Jinping said Tuesday.
Xi made the remarks when delivering a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the fourth ministerial meeting of the China-CELAC (Community of Latin American and Caribbean States) Forum in Beijing.
"China and Latin American and Caribbean countries are important members of the Global South. Independence and autonomy are our glorious traditions. Development and rejuvenation are our natural rights. Fairness and justice are our common pursuits. China is willing to join hands with Latin American and Caribbean countries to launch five projects to seek ways to achieve development and rejuvenation and jointly build a China-LAC community with a shared future," said Xi.
