The China-Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) Forum has added new dimensions to the China-LAC comprehensive cooperative partnership and injected fresh momentum into building a China-LAC community with a shared future, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Tuesday.

Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, chaired the fourth ministerial meeting of the China-CELAC Forum held in Beijing on Tuesday.

Foreign ministers or representatives from CELAC member countries and heads of relevant regional organizations gathered in China's capital to discuss common development goals and advance the building of a China-LAC community with a shared future.

Marking the 10th anniversary of the Forum's official launch, Wang noted that the past decade has witnessed frequent high-level exchanges, fostering a strong consensus on unity and development. He said these efforts have guided China-CELAC relations into a new phase of equality, mutual benefit, innovation, and openness while delivering tangible benefits to the people.

Speaking on strengthening solidarity between China and Latin America, Wang said the two sides would firmly support each other's core interests, deepen economic cooperation, promote peace and security, and continue to enhance cultural exchange and mutual learning while jointly upholding international fairness and justice.

He added that China and Latin America have set a new example for global relations and have driven greater cooperation across the Global South, he added.

The ministerial meeting witnessed the adoption of two key documents: the Beijing Declaration, which reaffirms both sides' commitment to peace, development, and cooperation, and a joint action plan outlining specific initiatives in technology, trade, investment, infrastructure, and Belt and Road cooperation.

El Foro China-CELAC (Comunidad de Estados Latinoamericanos y Caribeños) ha añadido nuevas dimensiones a la asociación de cooperación integral China-América Latina y Caribe y ha inyectado un nuevo impulso a la construcción de una comunidad China-América Latina y Caribe con un futuro compartido, afirmó el martes el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de China, Wang Yi.

Wang, también miembro del Buró Político del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de China, presidió la Cuarta Reunión Ministerial del Foro China-CELAC celebrada el martes en Beijing.

Los ministros de Relaciones Exteriores o representantes de los países miembros de la CELAC y los jefes de las organizaciones regionales pertinentes se reunieron en la capital de China para discutir objetivos de desarrollo comunes y avanzar en la construcción de una comunidad China-ALC con un futuro compartido.

Con motivo del décimo aniversario del lanzamiento oficial del Foro, Wang señaló que la última década ha sido testigo de frecuentes intercambios de alto nivel, lo que ha fomentado un sólido consenso sobre la unidad y el desarrollo. Añadió que estos esfuerzos han guiado las relaciones entre China y la CELAC hacia una nueva etapa de igualdad, beneficio mutuo, innovación y apertura, generando beneficios tangibles para la población.

"Tras una década de meticuloso cultivo, el mecanismo del foro ha madurado cada vez más y se ha convertido en una plataforma clave para el diálogo igualitario y la cooperación mutuamente beneficiosa entre China y América Latina. Ha añadido nuevas dimensiones a la asociación de cooperación integral China-América Latina y Caribe y ha impulsado la construcción de una comunidad China-América Latina y Caribe de futuro compartido", señaló Wang.

Al hablar sobre el fortalecimiento de la solidaridad entre China y América Latina, Wang dijo que las dos partes apoyarán firmemente los intereses fundamentales de cada una, profundizarán la cooperación económica, promoverán la paz y la seguridad y continuarán mejorando el intercambio cultural y el aprendizaje mutuo mientras defienden conjuntamente la equidad y la justicia internacionales.

Agregó que China y América Latina han establecido un nuevo ejemplo para las relaciones globales y han impulsado una mayor cooperación en todo el Sur Global.

"Me siento muy optimista y entusiasmado. Según lo que he escuchado, esto demuestra la colaboración y cooperación de todos los países miembros, y nuestra intención de fortalecer nuestros acuerdos bilaterales con China. En la reunión ministerial se adoptaron dos documentos clave: la Declaración de Beijing, que reafirma el compromiso de ambas partes con la paz, el desarrollo y la cooperación, y un plan de acción conjunto que describe iniciativas específicas en tecnología, comercio, inversión, infraestructura y cooperación en la Franja y la Ruta.
