Showing confidence in the economic development prospects of western China, global businessmen explored new cooperation opportunities at the 7th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade.
The trade event, running from Thursday to Sunday in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, showcased innovative ideas, new opportunities and a diverse range of products,
attracting over 1,300 enterprises from 39 countries and regions across the world.
With the theme "New West, New Manufacturing, and New Services," the trade event featured a major project signing ceremony, a product tour, a multinational company tour, and 34 procurement matchmaking sessions.
The trade fair saw over 200 billion yuan (about 27.8 billion U.S. dollars) in investment agreements for manufacturing and modern service industry projects.

Dinsay, vice consul for commercial affairs at the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Shanghai.
Chongqing serves as a hub linking Southeast Asian and European markets through the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.
The development index for the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, which was released during the four-day event, reached 192.3 points, marking five consecutive years of growth. Notably, the trade volume between provinces and cities along the corridor and the ten ASEAN countries has exceeded one trillion yuan, up 18.1 percent from the previous year.
This underscores the corridor's crucial role as a vital link in regional economic cooperation.
