China launched 101 new international air cargo routes in the first five months of this year, with over 195 round-trip cargo flights added each week, according to the Air Cargo Branch of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP).

In May alone, a total of 26 new international freight routes were added, said the branch.

These new routes primarily connect to Asian and European countries, with 47 to Asia and 41 to Europe. The number of new routes to North America reached 10.

Cargo transported on the new routes primarily included goods such as electronics, automobile parts, mechanical equipment, and perishables.
