"Following the release of the Joint Statement on China-U.S. Economic and Trade Meeting in Geneva on May 12, China has approached the matter responsibly, taken it seriously, fully honored its obligations, and actively worked to uphold the consensus reached during the Geneva talks. In contrast, the U.S. has taken a series of restrictive measures against China after the talks, actions that severely undermine the existing consensus and seriously infringe upon China's legitimate rights and interests. China expresses strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition, and calls on the U.S. to immediately cease these wrongful actions. If the U.S. insists on going its own way and continues to harm China's interests, China will resolutely take strong measures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests."
