Storyline

The Iranian authorities said that the three stricken nuclear sites had already been evacuated of its enriched uranium reserves prior to U.S. attack, Iran's state media IRIB reported on Sunday.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) also said on Sunday that there has been no increase in off-site radiation levels reported following U.S. strikes on three nuclear sites in Iran, including the Fordow site.

The United States has completed attacks on three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz and Esfahan on Sunday local time.

The U.S. air raids on Iran came on the ninth day after Israel launched attacks on Iran on June 13.

Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) issued a statement saying information recorded by its radiation detection system shows "no signs of contamination" and there is "no risk to residents" living near the facility. It also condemned the U.S. attacks as a violation of international law, including the Treaty on Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

The statement said that these facilities are all under the continuous supervision of the IAEA in accordance with the Safeguards agreement and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons. Iran calls on the international community to condemn the illegal U.S. acts and support Iran in safeguarding its legitimate rights.

The statement said that the AEOI will continue to develop the nuclear energy industry.
