"China has clearly stated its stance. Attacking nuclear facilities under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency is a serious violation of the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and international law. The U.S. attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities seriously violated the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and international law, said Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun on Monday.

On Saturday, the United States launched attacks on three Iranian nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.

Asked to comment on the situation, Guo condemned the U.S. move and urged all parties involved to de-escalate tensions.
