Russia said on Wednesday that its forces had seized two more settlements in Donetsk region, while Ukraine, on the same day, reported striking a Russian oil station.

According to a statement released by the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian forces continued their offensive on multiple fronts, gaining control of two more settlements in the Donetsk region and striking Ukrainian electronic warfare stations, air defense radars, ammunition depots among other targets.

The statement also said that the Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed four HIMARS rockets, nine aerial bombs, and 240 drones launched by Ukrainian forces.

Also on Wednesday, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR), in coordination with multiple military units, carried out strikes against several key Russian targets.

Among the targets, the Unecha oil pumping station in western Russia's Bryansk region, a key oil pumping station for supplying fuel for Russian troops, was precisely struck, with its exact damage yet to be assessed, the Ukrainian side said.

The Unecha oil pumping station, part of the Druzhba oil pipeline network, has an annual capacity of up to 60 million tons of oil. It is a key facility of the Druzhba pipeline network, through which Russia sends its crude to Hungary and Slovakia.
In response, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto condemned the strike on the pipeline, emphasizing that it supplies crude oil to Hungary and is crucial for the country's energy security.

Stressing that Hungary is Ukraine's largest electricity supplier, Szijjarto said that without Hungarian support, Ukraine's energy security would become highly unstable.

He strongly urged Ukraine not to jeopardize Hungary's energy supply security and "to stop attacking energy delivery routes to Hungary during a war to which we, Hungarians, have no relation".
