The China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) has provided crucial networking opportunities for global service providers, while managing to impress members of the public with displays of entrainment and technology.
More than 100 enterprises and institutions have released nearly 200 innovative achievements at the five-day event in Beijing, which is scheduled to conclude on Sunday afternoon.
The 2025 CIFTIS is open to the general public from Saturday to Sunday, welcoming visitors with reservations free of charge.
"Both the number of exhibitors and the enthusiasm of the visitors have exceeded my expectations. Exhibits on the categories of culture and science and technology have broadened my horizons," said Wang Fan, a visitor.
"I have homework on technology this weekend. So I came here to broaden my horizons and learn about the development of science and technology in China, which can help me apply what I have learned," said Wang Siyuan, a young visitor.
The scale of this year's CIFTIS is vast, with 85 countries and international organizations -- including Australia, Germany and the World Intellectual Property Organization -- taking part.
Nearly 2,000 companies are exhibiting on-site, including close to 500 Fortune Global 500 companies and industry-leading enterprises like Walmart, AstraZeneca and KPMG. The fair's participants hail from 26 of the world's top 30 countries and regions.
Australia is the guest country of honor at the 2025 CIFTIS, with 60 Australian companies participating in the event, spanning sectors like education, tourism, finance, healthcare, architecture and food and beverages.
"I will be in China for the next week, visiting partners, and I would expect some of the partners, potential partners we've met at CIFTIS, to be continuing those conversations," said Schgaard Smith, an Australian exhibitor.
Service providers from across the world have experienced a similarly successful fair and have recognized its potential as a platform to promote cooperation.
"We will come in the next year too in the CIFTIS exhibition to get some more clients and more exposure," a Pakistani exhibitor said.
