Russia said on Sunday that its forces had struck besieged Ukrainian troops in Krasnoarmeysk (known as Pokrovsk in Ukraine) in the Donetsk region, while the Ukrainian side reported on the same day of repelling Russian attacks.

Russian Ministry of Defense said in its daily briefing that its forces continued to strike besieged Ukrainian troops around the railway station of Krasnoarmeysk and nearby industrial zones, and repelled nine enemy attacks in the northern and northwestern directions.

Additionally, Russian forces expanded their control over Dimitrov which borders Krasnoarmeysk.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on the same day that since early Sunday morning, Russian forces have launched offensives against Ukrainian forces from multiple regions in the direction of Pokrovsk. Ukrainian defense forces successfully repelled 36 Russian attacks.

Meanwhile, a Ukrainian officer on the front lines said in an interview with Ukrainian media that warfare in Pokrovsk is still ongoing.
