"In terms of facility provision, efforts have been made to strengthen the construction of public convenience infrastructure such as parking spaces and EV charging piles. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China has added over 3.4 million parking spots nationwide. As of the end of October this year, the total number of charging facilities for electric vehicles across the country has reached 18.645 million, an increase of 54 percent year on year."

China will take measures to strengthen the supply of high-quality consumer goods to boost domestic consumption, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the country's top economic planner, said on Thursday.
Speaking at a press conference in Beijing, Wu Yuetao, director general of the NDRC's Department of Employment, Income Distribution and Consumption, said measures will be taken in three main aspects, including technological innovation, brand quality improvement, and addressing people's basic livelihood needs.
"In terms of technological innovation, we will further implement the 'AI Plus' initiative and promote the intelligent Internet of Everything (IoE) of smart terminals, fostering an ecosystem of intelligent products. In terms of scenario innovation, we will accelerate the roll-out of application scenario project lists, organize and implement a series of major projects that focus on comprehensive flagship scenarios, and create a number of new consumption scenarios with broad reach and strong demonstrative impact," said Wu.
Wu said the China Brand Day events will be further promoted.
"In terms of green upgrading, we continue to improve the energy-efficiency standard system. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China has added over 3.4 million parking spots nationwide. As of the end of October this year, the total number of charging facilities for electric vehicles across the country has reached 18.645 million, an increase of 54 percent year on year," said Wu.
