Russia said Tuesday that its armed forces had taken control over two more settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, while Ukraine, on the same day, claimed it was advancing operations to target Russian military personnel.
The Russian Ministry of Defense said in its latest report that the Russian forces had gained full control over the settlements of Zeleny Gai and Dobropolye in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Russian troops had targeted energy facilities that support Ukrainian military enterprises, ammunition depots, and temporary deployment points across 141 areas used by Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries, the ministry said.
Also on Tuesday, Ukrainian forces reported that the operational situation in Kupiansk had shifted in Ukraine's favor, with relevant strike operations continuing.
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, said that Ukrainian armed forces are continually clearing Russian troops in the region, saying that Russian gains only exist on a propaganda level.
It is reported that Ukrainian forces are advancing and systematically striking Russian military personnel in the northern part of Kupiansk and several other strongholds.
