China urges Japan to stop testing the bottom line of international justice with its nuclear ambitions, foreign ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a press briefing in Beijing on Friday.
The spokesman's remarks came after a senior Japanese official said that Japan should have nuclear weapons.
"For quite some time, Japan has repeatedly made erroneous statements and actions on military and security issues. Now, some forces in Japan are hinting at the desire to possess nuclear weapons, reflecting the growing ambitions of Japan's right-wing conservative forces to revive militarism, break free from the restriction of international order, and accelerate the country's 'remilitarization,'" Guo said.
"This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
