The U.S. government on Tuesday approved Nvidia to export its H200 AI chip to China.
The sales to China will be vetted by the U.S. Department of Commerce, on the condition that 25 percent of the chip sales will be paid to the U.S. government.
On Dec 8, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that the United States will allow Nvidia to ship its H200 AI chips to "approved customers" in China and elsewhere.
