Chinese smart logistics equipment factories are running at full throttle, fueled by soaring global demand for cutting-edge sorting systems, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and AI-powered logistics facilities.

With the fast approach of the Spring Festival, which falls on Feb. 17 this year, domestic demand for holiday goods has surged, prompting logistics companies across China to operate around the clock to handle the flood of orders.

At a high-tech warehouse in Hefei, the capital city of east China's Anhui Province, an AI-powered logistics system is orchestrating 24/7 operations, ensuring millions of festive parcels are accurately sorted and routed to the right households nationwide.

The backbone of this automated efficiency lies in a factory in Nanling County of Wuhu City, just a short distance away from Hefei. A key component, the electric roller, is being mass-produced without pause here.

The factory now churns out more than 2,000 electric rollers daily and has secured orders for hundreds of thousands of units. Workers are busy fulfilling a major contract from one of China's leading cross-border e-commerce firms.

Though compact in size, these rollers serve as the "core joints" of intelligent logistics systems. They will be integrated into AMRs, destined for overseas e-commerce fulfillment centers, where they will work to enable precise, high-speed sorting of goods.

Headquartered in east China's Jiangsu Province, the manufacturer, Wayzim, established its Nanling production base in 2017. Today, its smart sorting equipment commands one-third of China's domestic market.

Bolstered by innovations in automation, digital management and intelligent manufacturing, the company is actively expanding its international footprint.

Pyo Young-taek, a South Korean client, recently visited the Nanling facility to inspect and accept a new shipment.

During the visit, Pyo highly commented on the products made by Wayzim, saying they have conducted quality comparisons with multiple other suppliers before ultimately choosing the company.

"We currently have a significant number of orders from both domestic and international clients, including those from the U.S., Russia and Spain. We are now building smart sorting demonstration lines for them right here at our facility," said Wei Peng, an engineer with the Nanling production base.

The company specializes in smart logistics solutions for e-commerce, advanced manufacturing, and airport cargo sectors. With a strategic focus on international markets, it aims to have overseas revenue account for more than half of its total sales this year.
