As the Chinese New Year, which falls on Feb 17, is around the corner, the Vrbas Nova railway station of the Budapest-Belgrade railway line is adorned with festive decorations, creating a vibrant Spring Festival atmosphere.

The Budapest-Belgrade railway is a flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative in Central and Eastern Europe. The station is a significant, modern facility newly built on the Novi Sad-Subotica section of the railway.

Zoran Dabetic, who is in charge of the railway station, said that decorating the station with Chinese elements conveys the beautiful wish that the "ironclad friendship" between Serbia and China will last forever.

"Today, we decorated our station with red lights, symbolizing the time-honored friendship between our two countries. Red represents the Chinese nation and is the main color of the national flag of China," said Dabetic.

The promotional video of China Media Group (CMG) 2026 Spring Festival Gala was also screened at the station, attracting many passengers.

Chinese and Serbian builders of the railway station expressed their best wishes ahead of the festival, hoping for stronger and more sustainable cooperation between the two countries.

China's Spring Festival, or Chinese New Year, is the most important traditional holiday for Chinese people, and watching the Spring Festival Gala on television is a cherished part of the celebrations in hundreds of millions of Chinese homes.

À l'approche du Nouvel An chinois, qui tombe cette année le 17 février, la gare de Vrbas Nova, sur la ligne ferroviaire Budapest-Belgrade, se pare de décorations festives, créant une ambiance de fête du Printemps.

La ligne ferroviaire Budapest-Belgrade est un projet phare de l'initiative "la Ceinture et la Route" en Europe centrale et orientale. La gare est une infrastructure moderne et importante, récemment construite sur la section Novi Sad-Subotica.

Zoran Dabetic, responsable de la gare, a déclaré que la décoration de la gare avec des éléments chinois exprimait le beau souhait que "l'amitié indéfectible" entre la Serbie et la Chine dure éternellement.

Im Vorfeld des chinesischen Neujahrsfestes, das dieses Jahr auf den 17. Februar fällt, präsentiert sich der Bahnhof Vrbas Nova an der Bahnstrecke Budapest-Belgrad festlich geschmückt und versprüht eine lebendige Frühlingsfest-Atmosphäre.

Die Bahnstrecke Budapest-Belgrad ist ein Flaggschiffprojekt der Seidenstraßeninitiative in Mittel- und Osteuropa. Der Bahnhof Vrbas Nova ist dabei eine bedeutende, moderne Anlage, die entlang des Streckenabschnitts Novi Sad-Subotica neu errichtet wurde.

Bahnhofsleiter Zoran Dabetic erklärte, die festliche Dekoration mit chinesischen Elementen vermittle den schönen Wunsch, dass die „unerschütterliche Freundschaft“ zwischen Serbien und China ewig währen möge.

Auch das Werbevideo der China Media Group (CMG) für die Frühlingsfest-Gala 2026 wurde am Bahnhof gezeigt und zog viele Reisende an.

Chinesische und serbische Bauarbeiter sowie Ingenieure, die am Bau des Bahnhofs beteiligt waren, übermittelten vor dem Fest ihre besten Wünsche. Sie drückten dabei die Hoffnung auf eine noch engere und nachhaltigere Zusammenarbeit zwischen beiden Ländern aus.

Das Frühlingsfest, auch chinesisches Neujahr genannt, ist der wichtigste traditionelle Feiertag der Chinesen. Das gemeinsame Anschauen der Frühlingsfest-Gala ist für Hunderte Millionen chinesischer Familien ein geschätzter Bestandteil der Feierlichkeiten.
