"The economic and trade teams of China and the United States are maintaining close communication at all levels through the consultation mechanism, and having exchange of views in a timely manner on implementation of the common understandings reached by the two presidents in Busan and the outcomes of the economic and trade consultation in Kuala Lumpur, and on resolving each other's economic and trade concerns. China stands ready to make joint efforts with the United States to act on the common understandings reached by the two presidents during their meetings and phone talks, work together while upholding the attitude of equality, respect and mutual benefit, enhance dialogue and communication, properly manage differences, expand practical cooperation, and promote the healthy, stable and sustainable development of China-U.S. economic and trade relations."

The economic and trade teams of China and the United States are maintaining close communication at all levels and exchanging views in a timely manner, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.
Chinese commerce ministry spokesman He Yadong made the statement at a regular press briefing in Beijing when responding to reports which quoted U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent as saying that senior U.S. Treasury staff visited China and met Chinese officials last week, and the two sides discussed preparations for the next high-level meeting.
