China is willing to work with the United States to promote the healthy, stable and sustainable development of bilateral economic and trade ties, He Yongqian, a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Commerce, said at a press conference in Beijing on Thursday.

She made the remarks in response to a media query about the upcoming sixth round of China-U.S. trade talks.

"China and the United States have continuously maintained communication at all levels through the China-U.S. economic and trade consultation mechanism. China is willing to work with the U.S. side to deliver and uphold the consensus that the two heads of state reached both at their 2025 meeting in Busan and during their recent phone talks on February 4, to properly manage differences through equal consultation, expand pragmatic cooperation, and safeguard the healthy, stable, and sustainable development of China-U.S. economic and trade relations, so as to better benefit both countries and the world," said He.
