Two Palestinians were killed and several injured on Thursday in an Israeli airstrike in the east of Gaza City, according to Palestinian media.

Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli drone fired a missile at a group of Palestinians in a park in the Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City.

Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem said that the continued rise in casualties resulting from the ongoing Israeli bombardment across the Gaza Strip reflects "the occupation's blatant disregard for the efforts of mediators."

He said that the Israeli army is continuing its military operations in the Gaza Strip, adding that any "changes" in the situation had not brought about any substantive easing in conditions for Palestinians in Gaza.

He stressed that the statements made by some countries regarding the promotion of a ceasefire "lack practical basis in reality."

Since Oct. 7, 2023, Israel has killed 72,082 Palestinians and wounded 171,761 others. The death toll since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10 last year has reached 618, with 1,663 wounded, according to figures from Gaza-based health authorities.

Violence also escalated in the Israeli-occupied West Bank overnight Wednesday and in to Thursday morning, as Israeli Jewish settlers and the Israeli army attacked Palestinian homes and villages across the region, resulting in many Palestinian residents being injured or arrested, Palestine's official news agency WAFA reported.

أفادت وسائل إعلام فلسطينية بمقتل فلسطينيين اثنين وإصابة آخرين بجروح يوم الخميس/26 فبراير الجاري في غارة جوية إسرائيلية شرقي مدينة غزة.

وأفاد شهود عيان أن طائرة مسيرة إسرائيلية أطلقت صاروخاً على مجموعة من الفلسطينيين في حديقة بحي التفاح شرق مدينة غزة.

وأفاد المتحدث باسم حركة حماس، حازم قاسم، أن الارتفاع المستمر في عدد الضحايا نتيجة القصف الإسرائيلي المتواصل على قطاع غزة يعكس "التجاهل الصارخ من إسرائيل لجهود الوسطاء".

وأكد أن الجيش الإسرائيلي يواصل عملياته العسكرية في قطاع غزة، وأن أي "تغييرات" في الوضع لم تُسفر عن أي تحسن جوهري في أوضاع الفلسطينيين في غزة، مضيفًا أن التصريحات التي أدلت بها بعض الدول بشأن الترويج لوقف إطلاق النار "تفتقر إلى أساس عملي في الواقع".

ومنذ 7 أكتوبر 2023، قتلت إسرائيل 72082 فلسطينياً وأصابت 171761 آخرين. بينما بلغت حصيلة الضحايا منذ دخول وقف إطلاق النار حيز التنفيذ في 10 أكتوبر من العام الماضي 618 قتيلاً، بالإضافة إلى 1663 جريحاً، وفقاً لإحصاءات السلطات الصحية في غزة.

Dos palestinos murieron y varios resultaron heridos el jueves en un ataque aéreo israelí al este de la Ciudad de Gaza, según informaron medios palestinos.

Según testigos presenciales, un dron israelí disparó un misil contra un grupo de palestinos que se encontraba en un parque del barrio de Tuffah, al este de la ciudad.

El portavoz de Hamás, Hazem Qassem, declaró que el continuo aumento de víctimas por los incesantes bombardeos israelíes en toda la Franja de Gaza refleja "el flagrante desprecio de la ocupación por los esfuerzos de los mediadores".

Denunció que el ejército israelí sigue llevando a cabo ataques militares contra la Franja de Gaza y agregó que todos los supuestos "cambios" contemplados en el acuerdo de alto el fuego no ha supuesto una mejora sustancial en las condiciones de vida de los palestinos de Gaza.
