"I am currently in Tehran, the capital of Iran. It is about 5:10 in the early morning on March 1 local time. Just a few minutes ago, I received local confirmation that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed in an attack. In the direction I am pointing, Iran’s air defense systems were activated intensively for a period of time just minutes ago. Over here, you can still see thick smoke drifting across the sky. This is the site that was struck in an attack about one hour ago."
