Several explosions were heard in the capital city of Tehran and two other cities on Tuesday, according to a China Media Group (CMG) reporter stationed in Iran.

An explosion occurred in the Lavizan, a north-eastern neighborhood of Tehran, where Iranian military facilities are located, said the reporter in the capital.

The reporter's footage showed thick smoke rising from a building in the area.

The reporter also said explosions were heard in the country's central city of Isfahan, which contains many heritages from various historical eras, and Shiraz, a popular tourist destination in southwestern Iran.
