2. Various of carbon fiber materials on display
3. Various of plant
China unveiled an independently developed ultra-high-strength carbon fiber on Wednesday, marking a major breakthrough in the country's advanced materials sector and filling a critical gap in the global market.
The T1200-grade carbon fiber has a diameter of less than one-tenth that of a human hair, yet its tensile strength is approximately 10 times that of conventional steel, while its density is only one-quarter that of steel.
Developed by the China National Building Material Group, the new carbon fiber material has already achieved industrial-scale production, far beyond laboratory samples, making China the first country in the world to achieve mass production of this grade of carbon fiber on a hundred-ton scale.
With its exceptional performance advantages, the material is expected to see widespread application in strategic emerging industries, including in humanoid robotics, the aerospace sector, and in the fledging low-altitude economy.
