International oil prices surged on Wednesday.

The West Texas Intermediate for April delivery gained 3.80 U.S. dollars, or 4.55 percent, to settle at 87.25 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Brent crude for May delivery went up 4.18 dollars, or 4.76 percent, to settle at 91.98 U.S. dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange.
