China's top legislator on Thursday said the people's congresses should fulfill their duties and provide the legal guarantee for achieving the goals and tasks of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) for national economic and social development.

Zhao Leji, chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, delivered a speech at the closing meeting of the fourth session of the 14th NPC, China's national legislature, held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, and other Party and state leaders attended the closing meeting.

Zhao said that all agendas of the fourth session of the 14th NPC, which opened on March 5, were successfully completed.

"All the deputies lived up to the trust of the Party and the people and earnestly fulfilled their statutory duties. We deliberated and approved reports including the government work report, reviewed and approved the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) and the 2026 plan for national economic and social development as well as the budget for 2026, deliberated and adopted the Ecological and Environmental Code, the Ethnic Unity and Progress Promotion Law and the National Development Planning Law," he said.

"The outcomes of this session demonstrate a high degree of unity between the Party's guidelines and the will of the people. They also demonstrate our firm resolve and mighty force to unite under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, keep abreast of the times, and continuously forge ahead toward building China into a strong country and rejuvenating the Chinese nation," Zhao said.

He stressed the need to stay focused on managing the country's own affairs well and strive for a strong start to the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

Le plus haut législateur chinois a appelé jeudi à des efforts conjoints de tous les législateurs nationaux pour fournir un soutien juridique plus solide afin d'atteindre les objectifs du 15e Plan quinquennal (2026-2030) pour le développement économique et social.

Zhao Leji, président du Comité permanent de l'Assemblée populaire nationale (APN), a prononcé un discours lors de la réunion de clôture de la quatrième session de la 14e APN, tenue au Grand Palais du peuple à Beijing.

Le président Xi Jinping, également secrétaire général du Comité central du Parti communiste chinois (PCC) et président de la Commission militaire centrale, ainsi que d'autres dirigeants du Parti et de l'État, ont participé à la réunion.

El máximo legislador de China pidió el jueves esfuerzos sólidos de los legisladores para proporcionar apoyo legal más fuerte con miras a alcanzar los objetivos establecidos por el XV Plan Quinquenal (2026-2030) para el desarrollo socioeconómico del país.

Zhao Leji, presidente del Comité Permanente de la Asamblea Popular Nacional (APN), hizo estas declaraciones en la reunión de clausura de la cuarta sesión de la XIV APN celebrada en el Gran Palacio del Pueblo en Beijing.

El presidente chino, Xi Jinping, también secretario general del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de China (PCCh) y presidente de la Comisión Militar Central, y otros líderes del Partido y del Estado asistieron a la reunión.

Zhao puntualizó que la cuarta sesión de la XIV APN completó con éxito su agenda.

"Todos los diputados estuvieron a la altura de la confianza depositada por el Partido y el pueblo, cumplieron fielmente sus obligaciones legales. Deliberamos y aprobamos el Informe sobre la Labor del Gobierno y otros documentos; revisamos y aprobamos el proyecto del XV Plan Quinquenal para el desarrollo económico y social nacional, así como las resoluciones sobre el plan de desarrollo económico y social para 2026 y sobre los presupuestos central y locales para 2026; y deliberamos y adoptamos el Código Ecológico y Ambiental, la Ley de Promoción de la Unidad y el Progreso Étnicos y la Ley de Planificación del Desarrollo Nacional. Los resultados de esta sesión reflejan un alto nivel de unidad entre las proposiciones del Partido y la voluntad del pueblo. Der Vorsitzende des Ständigen Ausschusses des Nationalen Volkskongresses, Zhao Leji, hat am Donnerstag von allen nationalen Abgeordneten solide Anstrengungen gefordert, um eine stärkere rechtliche Unterstützung für die Erfüllung der Ziele des 15. Fünfjahresplans (2026-2030) für die nationale sozioökonomische Entwicklung zu garantieren.

Zhao machte diese Bemerkungen in einer Rede auf der Abschlusssitzung der vierten Tagung des 14. Nationalen Volkskongresses in der Großen Halle des Volkes in Beijing.

Der chinesische Präsident Xi Jinping, der auch Generalsekretär des Zentralkomitees der Kommunistischen Partei Chinas und Vorsitzender der Zentralen Militärkommission ist, und andere führende Vertreter von Partei und Staat nahmen an der Tagung teil.

Zhao sagte, dass alle Punkte auf der Tagesordnung der diesjährigen Tagung des 14. Nationalen Volkskongresses erfolgreich abgeschlossen worden seien.
