China Media Group (CMG) brought its high-level dialogue series "China in Springtime: China's Development Opportunities for the World" to a successful conclusion with a special event in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Wednesday.
The event was hosted by CMG, the Chinese Embassy in the UAE, China's Consulate General in Dubai, and UAE's TRENDS Research and Advisory.
Guests from the business, academic, media and other circles of China and the UAE expressed at the event that important documents approved at this year's "two sessions" (the annual meetings of China's top legislature and top political advisory body), especially the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) for national economic and social development, are not only blueprints for China's high-quality development, but also new "lists of opportunities" for the world.
During the "two sessions", China continuously sent out the clear signal of high-standard opening up, and in a world full of uncertainties, China has been sowing seeds of prosperity and stability for the world with the certainty of its own development, said the guests, who expressed hopes for deeper cooperation between China and the UAE in key areas such as finance, artificial intelligence and green energy, as well as further joint efforts in safeguarding the multilateral trading system and promoting global win-win results.
Starting March 14 and through forms such as online and offline dialogues, roundtable discussions and special programs, China Global Television Network (CGTN) worked with CMG's overseas correspondent stations in holding nearly 50 promotion activities on the "two sessions" which covered regions including North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.
The activities helped residents of relevant regions better understand the resilience of the Chinese economy and the new opportunities it offers.
