Lebanese Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine held an urgent press conference in Beirut on Saturday, condemning what he described as a "brutal Israeli attack" on civilian areas and emergency services.

The minister announced that nine paramedics and three media workers were killed in the past 12 hours, bringing the total number of "health sector martyrs" to 51. The health ministry reported 75 attacks on medical facilities, including nine hospitals and 18 emergency centers, with five hospitals forced to close.

Nassereddine vowed to submit a legal dossier to the Cabinet and the UN Security Council, citing violations of international law.

"As for the legal aspect, is this a military facility? Where are the missiles inside it? Where is the ammunition inside it? Is this a military helmet? If anyone sees something else, let me know. We will also compile and submit a complete legal dossier to the Cabinet, which is in the process of filing a complaint with the [UN] Security Council regarding this matter to establish the truth. We know well that Israel, which is our enemy, has not complied with neither the Geneva Conventions nor the Hague Conventions, and we did not expect their children and grandchildren to be compliant either," he said.

Cross-border fighting has continued along the Lebanon-Israel border since March 2, when Hezbollah launched rockets toward Israel for the first time since a ceasefire took effect in 2024, triggering intensified Israeli air strikes across southern and eastern Lebanon.

عقد وزير الصحة اللبناني، راكان ناصر الدين، مؤتمرًا صحفيًا عاجلاً في بيروت، يوم السبت / 28 مارس الجاري، أدان فيه ما وصفه بـ"الهجوم الإسرائيلي الوحشي" على المناطق المدنية ومراكز الطوارئ.

وأعلن الوزير عن استشهاد تسعة مسعفين وثلاثة إعلاميين خلال الساعات الـ12 الماضية، ليرتفع بذلك عدد شهداء القطاع الصحي إلى 51. كما أفادت وزارة الصحة بوقوع 75 هجومًا على مرافق طبية، من بينها تسعة مستشفيات و18 مركزًا للطوارئ، ما أدى إلى إغلاق خمسة مستشفيات.

وتعهد ناصر الدين بتقديم ملف قانوني إلى مجلس الوزراء اللبناني لتقديم شكوى بدوره إلى مجلس الأمن الدولي، مشيرًا إلى الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية للقانون الدولي.

واستمر القتال عبر الحدود على طول الحدود اللبنانية -الإسرائيلية منذ 2 مارس، عندما أطلق حزب الله صواريخ باتجاه إسرائيل لأول مرة منذ دخول وقف إطلاق النار حيز التنفيذ في عام 2024، مما أدى إلى تكثيف الغارات الجوية الإسرائيلية في جميع أنحاء جنوب وشرق لبنان.

El ministro libanés de Salud Pública, Rakan Nassereldine, ofreció una rueda de prensa urgente en Beirut el sábado, condenando lo que describió como un "brutal ataque israelí" contra zonas civiles y servicios de emergencia.

El ministro anunció que nueve paramédicos y tres periodistas murieron en las últimas 12 horas, elevando a 51 el número total de víctimas mortales en el sector salud. El Ministerio de Salud Pública informó de 75 ataques contra instalaciones médicas, incluyendo nueve hospitales y 18 centros de urgencias, cinco de los cuales se vieron obligados a cerrar.

Nassereldine prometió presentar un informe legal ante el Gabinete y el Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU, alegando violaciones del derecho internacional.

Los enfrentamientos transfronterizos han continuado a lo largo de la frontera entre Líbano e Israel desde el 2 de marzo, cuando Hezbolá lanzó cohetes hacia Israel por primera vez desde que entró en vigor un alto el fuego en 2024, lo que provocó una intensificación de los ataques aéreos israelíes en el sur y el este del Líbano.
