"Following coordination with the relevant parties, three Chinese vessels recently transited the Strait of Hormuz. We express our appreciation to the relevant parties for the assistance provided. The Strait of Hormuz and its adjacent waters are important international channels for goods and energy trade. China calls for an immediate ceasefire and an end to hostilities to restore peace and stability in the Gulf region."

A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman confirmed on Tuesday three Chinese vessels have navigated through the Strait of Hormuz in recent days, following coordination with the relevant parties.
