An art exhibition was held simultaneously on Wednesday aboard China's Tiangong space station orbiting about 400 kilometers above Earth, and at the Capital Museum in Beijing, showcasing teenagers' imaginative visions of the future and their deep respect for role models nationwide.

The event launched its call for entries in July 2025, selecting 80 paintings from a pool of over 15,000 submissions from teens across the country. On October 31, the selected works were sent to the Chinese space station aboard the Shenzhou-21 crewed spacecraft.

It is the fifth painting exhibition held aboard the Tiangong space station.

The artworks frequently highlight figures from China's space industry chasing the space dream, high-speed rail workers striving for excellence, and firefighters braving danger. The young creators honored pioneering role models through their paintings which illustrate their understanding of how personal growth integrates with national development.

The Shenzhou-21 crew members, comprised of mission commander Zhang Lu and astronauts Wu Fei and Zhang Hongzhang, have displayed and introduced the teenagers' artworks during their mission aboard the space station.

"'Role Models in My Heart' is the theme of this exhibition. From the paintings, we deeply feel the teenagers' respect for pioneering role models lying beneath their brushstrokes, which shines brighter than stars and stretches wider than the sky," said a crew member of the Shenzhou-21 mission.

Meanwhile, on the ground, the Capital Museum hosted an interactive event featuring representatives from the aerospace, high-speed rail, and firefighting sectors. These role models engaged with young visitors, sharing stories of how they are dedicated to and shoulder the responsibility in their respective fields.

"Seeing the children's paintings about high-speed railway, which are full of imaginative depictions and hopes for the future development of China's high-speed rail, is a great inspiration to us," said Weng Shengyuan from the Institute of Computing Technologies of the China Academy of Railway Sciences Corporation Limited.

Today we're on the school playground; in the future, we will make breakthroughs in various other fields both in space and on the ground, daring to tackle challenges and win glory for our country," said Li Chongjing, a student participating in the event.

The exhibition at the Capital Museum brings together works displayed in all the five editions of the exhibition, as the first comprehensive showcase of all collections of the event. The exhibition will run through May 24.

Une exposition de peinture s'est tenue mercredi dans la station spatiale chinoise Tiangong, qui orbite à environ 400 kilomètres au-dessus de la Terre.

Il s'agit de la cinquième exposition de peinture organisée à bord de la station spatiale Tiangong.

Depuis juillet dernier, les organisateurs ont sélectionné 80 peintures parmi plus de 15 000 oeuvres d'adolescents de tout le pays. Le 31 octobre 2025, le vaisseau spatial habité Shenzhou-21 a enmmené les peintures sélectionnées à la station spatiale chinoise.

Des œuvres présentent les figures emblématiques de l'industrie spatiale chinoise, et d'autres montrent des travailleurs du TGV en quête d'excellence et des pompiers bravant le danger. À travers leur œuvres d’art, les jeunes rendent hommage aux modèles inspirants et expriment leur vision de l'intégration du développement personnel au développement national.

Les astronautes Zhang Lu (commandant), Wu Fei et Zhang Hongzhang ont présenté les peintures exposées dans la station spatiale.

"'Mmodèles dans mon cœur’ est le thème de cette exposition. À travers ces peintures, on ressent profondément le respect des adolescents pour des modèles pionniers, un respect qui transparaît dans leurs coups de pinceau et qui brille plus fort que les étoiles, s'étendant plus loin que l'espace", a expliqué Zhang Lu en présentant les peintures.

Parallèlement, au sol, un événement interactif a été organisé au Musée de la Capitale. Des représentants des secteurs de l'aérospatiale, du ferroviaire à grande vitesse et de la lutte contre les incendies ont échangé avec des jeunes visiteurs, partageant des histoires de dévouement et de responsabilité dans leurs domaines respectifs.

"Découvrir les dessins des enfants sur le thème du train à grande vitesse, pleins de représentations imaginatives et d'espoir pour le développement futur du réseau ferroviaire à grande vitesse chinois. 　中国の宇宙ステーション「天宮」と首都博物館で1日、5回目となる「天宮絵画展」が開幕した。展示作品では、多くの子どもたちが筆を通して心の中の模範的人物を表現し、努力する人々への敬意と中国式現代化への憧れを示している。

　宇宙に滞在中の有人宇宙船「神舟21号」の飛行士らは「宇宙解説員」となり、軌道上から作品の展示と紹介を行った。

　今回の絵画展は昨年7月に作品募集を開始した。全国各地から寄せられた1万5000点以上の応募作品から80点が選出され、昨年10月31日、「神舟21号」に搭載され宇宙へ送られた。

　子どもたちが描いた作品には、宇宙への夢を追う航空宇宙関係者、切磋琢磨する高速鉄道関係者、危険を顧みない消防士など、様々な分野で活躍する模範的人物の姿が頻繁に登場。彼らは筆を通じて先駆者への深い敬意を示すと同時に、自分の成長を国の発展とどう重ね合わせるかという、確かな理解を表現している。

　宇宙では「神舟21号」の張陸指令長、武飛飛行士、張洪章飛行士が作品を紹介するとともに、作品への感動をこう語った。

　首都博物館で開催中の絵画展は、これまで宇宙ステーションで展示されてきた第1回から第5回までの「天宮絵画展」の作品を初めて一堂に集めたものである。会期は5月24日まで。
