A psychiatric hospital in southeastern Tehran was crippled on March 29 after shockwaves from a U.S.-Israeli strike leveled a factory just across the street, ripping through its wards and shutting down vital care.

One week after the strike, Delaram Sina Psychiatric Hospital remains visibly scarred, with blast marks streaking the reception hall floor, the ceiling shattered, and offices littered with missile fragments.

The scale of damage means the hospital will be out of service for months, depriving patients of specialized psychiatric care and leaving staff in limbo as reconstruction drags on.

"The hospital was completely evacuated and there is no possibility of any activity. Rebuilding the hospital will take at least a month to activate two departments and at least five to six months for the entire hospital to fully reopen," said Mohammad Asgari, clinic director.

At the time of the incident, a total of 30 patients were inside the hospital. Fortunately, there were no casualties, and all patients were safely transferred to another facility.

"The patients who were here went into shock due to the sound and wave of the explosion, and their symptoms could have been exacerbated if they were cut off. Even though the treatment team here is made up of professional psychiatrists and psychologists who have taken specialized courses, they themselves went into shock," Asgari said.

This was not the first hospital in Tehran to be hit. On March 1, Gandhi Hospital in the city’s north suffered extensive damage in a U.S.-Israeli strike and was temporarily put out of service. Since then, Iranian medical workers have rallied outside the facility, denouncing repeated strikes on hospitals and warning of the mounting toll on the country’s health system.

Un hôpital psychiatrique de Téhéran a été gravement endommagé le 29 mars lors d'une frappe américano-israélienne sur un site voisin.

Ce n'est pas la première fois qu'un hôpital de Téhéran a été pris pour cible dans les frappes américano-israéliennes. Au début du conflit, l'hôpital Gandhi a subi d'importants dégâts et a été temporairement mis hors service.

Aujourd'hui, l'hôpital psychiatrique Delaram Sina, dans le sud-est de Téhéran, a été gravement endommagé par la frappe de dimanche dernier. Des traces de l’explosion sont encore visibles sur le sol du hall d'accueil, tandis que le plafond a été complètement pulvérisé.

L'hôpital, qui se trouve juste en face du site de l'explosion, n'a pas été directement touché. Toutefois, les ondes de choc l'ont rendu inutilisable, poussant les médecins à s'inquiéter pour leurs patients et le personnel soignant à craindre pour leurs emplois dans les mois à venir.

"L'hôpital a été complètement évacué et aucune activité n'est possible. La reconstruction de l'hôpital prendra au moins un mois pour remettre en service deux services, et au moins cinq à six mois pour une réouverture complète de l'établissement", a déclaré Mohammad Asgari, directeur de la clinique.

Au moment de l'incident, 30 patients se trouvaient à l'intérieur de l'hôpital. Heureusement, il n'y a eu aucune victime, et tous les patients ont été transférés en sécurité dans un autre établissement.

El Hospital Psiquiátrico Delaram Sina, en el sureste de Teherán, capital iraní, sufrió graves daños y dejó de funcionar tras recibir la onda expansiva de un ataque estadounidense-israelí el 29 de marzo.

Una semana después del ataque, las marcas de la explosión aún eran visibles en el suelo de la sala de recepción, así como en el techo, que quedó completamente destrozado.

El hospital, ubicado justo al otro lado de la calle del lugar de la explosión, no fue alcanzado directamente. Sin embargo, las ondas expansivas lo han dejado inoperativo, lo que genera preocupación entre los médicos por sus pacientes y temor por el empleo del personal sanitario en los próximos meses.

Mohammad Asgari, director del hospital, expresó que los trabajos de reparación podrían tardar hasta meses.

"El hospital fue evacuado por completo y no hay posibilidad de realizar ninguna actividad. La reconstrucción del hospital llevará al menos un mes para reabrir dos departamentos y entre cinco y seis meses para la reapertura total del hospital", expresó Asgari.

En el momento del ataque, había un total de 30 pacientes dentro del hospital. Afortunadamente, no hubo víctimas mortales y todos los pacientes fueron trasladados a otro centro sin sufrir daños.

"Los pacientes que se encontraban aquí sufrieron un shock debido al estruendo y la onda expansiva de la explosión, y sus síntomas podrían haberse agravado si se hubieran quedado aislados. Tenemos un equipo médico compuesto por psiquiatras y psicólogos profesionales con formación especializada, pero ellos mismos también sufrieron ataques de ansiedad", añadió Asgari.

Esta no es la primera vez que un hospital en Teherán es alcanzado por ataques estadounidenses-israelíes. Al inicio del conflicto, el Hospital Gandhi sufrió daños significativos tras los bombardeos y quedó temporalmente fuera de servicio.

A medida que se intensifica el conflicto bélico en Oriente Medio, cada vez más hospitales y centros de salud, que deberían brindar atención y seguridad a los pacientes, se encuentran atrapados en el fuego cruzado.

Eine Psychiatrieklinik in Teheran ist nach wie vor schwer beschädigt, nachdem sie am 29. März von einem US-israelischen Angriff auf ein benachbartes Gelände getroffen wurde.

Es ist nicht das erste Mal, dass ein Krankenhaus in Teheran von US-amerikanisch-israelischen Angriffen getroffen wurde. Zu Beginn des Konflikts erlitt das Gandhi-Krankenhaus erhebliche Schäden und musste vorübergehend geschlossen werden.

Nun wurde die Psychiatrieklinik Delaram Sina im Südosten Teherans durch den Angriff am vergangenen Sonntag schwer beschädigt. Auf dem Boden der Empfangshalle sind noch deutlich Explosionsspuren zu sehen, und das Dach ist vollständig zerstört.

Das Krankenhaus, das direkt gegenüber dem Explosionsort liegt, wurde zwar nicht direkt getroffen, wurde aber durch die Schockwellen in Mitleidenschaft gezogen. Die Patienten mussten dringend evakuiert werden.

„Das Krankenhaus wurde vollständig evakuiert, und es besteht keine Möglichkeit, den Betrieb wieder aufzunehmen. Zum Zeitpunkt des Angriffs befanden sich insgesamt 30 Patienten im Krankenhaus. Glücklicherweise wurde niemand verletzt, und alle Patienten konnten sicher in eine andere Einrichtung verlegt werden. Allerdings war der Schock, selbst für die Mediziner, enorm.
