Millions across China took advantage of the Qingming Festival holiday from Saturday to Monday to go outing, enjoying spring green, cultural activities and family excursions.

In Yuexi County of east China's Anhui Province nestled deep in the Dabie Mountains, wild azaleas are in full bloom, carpeting mountain slopes in vibrant crimson and pink. Visitors meandered through the floral sea, experiencing a poetic stroll amid nature.

In Handan City, north China's Hebei Province, 133 hectares of crabapple trees are bursting with blossoms, drawing crowds to linger among the petals.

Beijing has introduced 10 curated flower-viewing routes that blend the city's ancient cultural heritage with spring scenery and waterways. By integrating flower appreciation with cultural and culinary experiences, the capital recorded over 10 million tourists during the three-day holiday.

The Qingming break coincided with spring break for primary and secondary schools in some regions, boosting family-oriented tourism.

In Fuzhou City, east China's Fujian Province, a "Spring Break Together" campaign was launched along five urban rivers, offering free boat rides for students accompanied by their parents. The routes highlighted waterfront ecosystems and featured diverse recreational facilities to appeal different families.

Traditional folk customs also took center stage during the holiday. In Taizhou City, east China's Jiangsu Province, the Qintong Boat Festival, a centuries-old water temple fair, drew large crowds on Monday.

Local authorities combined folk performances with four themed study tour routes covering intangible cultural heritage and farming culture, attracting many young participants and adding a new dimension to holiday travel.

In Yuantong Ancient Town of Chongzhou City, southwest China's Sichuan Province, a 300-meter-long "Huijiang Old Dragon" parade and other traditional performances drove a tourism surge, with the town receiving over 260,000 visitors during the holiday period.

In Xinzhou City, north China's Shanxi Province, tourists flocked to experience traditional crafts like lacquer fan and sachet making, capturing the beauty of spring while immersing themselves in local heritage.

From flower-filled trails to ancient parades and hands-on cultural workshops, the Qingming Festival holiday has offered a vibrant blend of nature, tradition and family fun across China.
