The United Nations is alarmed by the U.S. rhetoric that threatens attacks on Iran's power plants and bridges, a UN spokesperson said Monday.

On his social media post, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened American attacks on power plants, bridges, and other infrastructure should Iran not agree to a deal.

Speaking at a daily briefing, Stephane Dujarric, chief spokesman for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, emphasized that the UN Chief has been very clear on issues regarding international law that civilian infrastructure, including energy infrastructure, must not be the targets of military attacks.

"The secretary-general has been very clear on issues regarding international law, and he urges yet again all parties to abide by their obligations regarding the conduct of these hostilities. And he recalls that civilian infrastructure, including energy infrastructure, may not be attacked, even if specific civilian infrastructure were to qualify as a military objective, international humanitarian law would still prohibit attacks against them if they may be expected to cause excessive, incidental civilian harm," Dujarric said.

He then stressed that it is high time for the parties to stop this conflict as there is no viable alternative to the peaceful settlement of international disputes.

L'ONU est alarmée par les menaces américaines d'attaques contre les centrales électriques et les ponts iraniens, a déclaré lundi un porte-parole de l'ONU.

Dans un message publié sur les réseaux sociaux, le président américain Donald Trump a menacé d'attaquer les centrales électriques, les ponts et d'autres infrastructures si l'Iran n'acceptait pas un accord.

Stéphane Dujarric, porte-parole en chef du secrétaire général de l'ONU Antonio Guterres, a souligné lors d'un point de presse quotidien que M. Guterres avait été très clair sur les questions relatives au droit international, car les infrastructures civiles, y compris les infrastructures énergétiques, ne doivent pas être la cible d'attaques militaires.

أعربت الأمم المتحدة، يوم الاثنين/ 6 أبريل الجاري، عن قلقها البالغ إزاء التصريحات الأمريكية التي تهدّد بشنّ هجمات على محطات الطاقة والجسور في إيران.

وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترامب قد هدّد، عبر منشور له على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، بشنّ هجمات أمريكية على محطات الطاقة والجسور وغيرها من البنى التحتية في حال عدم موافقة إيران على الاتفاق.

وفي إحاطة صحفية يومية، أكد ستيفان دوجاريك، المتحدث باسم الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة، أن الأمين العام أنطونيو غوتيريش كان واضحاً جداً بشأن قضايا القانون الدولي، حيث أكد على ضرورة عدم استهداف البنية التحتية المدنية.

وقال المتحدث: "لقد كان الأمين العام واضحاً جداً بشأن قضايا القانون الدولي، وهو يحثّ مجدداً جميع الأطراف على الالتزام بتعهداتها فيما يتعلق بسير هذه الأعمال العدائية. ويذكّر بأنه لا يجوز مهاجمة البنية التحتية المدنية، بما في ذلك البنية التحتية للطاقة، حتى لو تم اعتبار بنية تحتية مدنية محددة هدفاً عسكرياً، فإن القانون الدولي الإنساني سيظل يحظر الهجمات عليها إذا كان من المتوقع أن تتسبب في أضرار مدنية مفرطة وعرضية."

Напомним, что в своем посте в соцсети президент США Дональд Трамп пригрозил атаками на электростанции, мосты и другую инфраструктуру Ирана, если последний не согласится на сделку.

Выступая на ежедневном брифинге, Стефан Дюжаррик сказал, что Антониу Гутерриш очень четко обозначил свою позицию о том, что гражданская инфраструктура, включая энергетическую, не должна быть целью военных атак.

"Генеральный секретарь очень четко высказался по вопросам, касающимся международного права, и он вновь настоятельно призывает все стороны соблюдать свои обязательства в отношении ведения боевых действий. И он напоминает, что гражданская инфраструктура, включая энергетическую инфраструктуру, не может подвергаться атакам, даже если бы конкретная гражданская инфраструктура квалифицировалась как военный объект, международное гуманитарное право все равно запрещает атаки на нее, если можно ожидать, что они причинят чрезмерный, случайный ущерб гражданскому населению", – отметил Стефан Дюжаррик.

La Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) está preocupada por la retórica de Estados Unidos de amenazar con atacar centrales eléctricas y puentes de Irán, declaró el lunes un portavoz de la ONU.

El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, conminó con lanzar ataques estadounidenses contra centrales eléctricas, puentes y otras infraestructuras en caso de que Irán no aceptara un acuerdo, a través de una publicación en redes sociales.

En una rueda de prensa rutinaria, Stéphane Dujarric, vocero del secretario general de la ONU, António Guterres, subrayó que el jefe de la ONU ha sido enfático en cuestiones relacionadas con el derecho internacional: las infraestructuras civiles, incluidas las energéticas, no deben ser objeto de ataques militares.
